New York (AP) Manhattan's borough president says New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg should form a task force to inspect major construction projects after Saturday's crane collapse that killed four construction workers.

Scott Stringer says it's “unacceptable” for the department of buildings to say that the 13 open violations at the site were “business as usual.”

The mayor says every large construction site has violations and that people don't need to worry if there's a crane across the street. He says it appears all the right protocols were being used by the crane operator.

The search continues for three people listed as missing.

At least 24 people were injured. Eight remain hospitalized.
