Independence Academy Charter School will call the Lincoln Park Elementary’s building, its new home next year.

Lincoln Park Elementary and Columbine Elementary will combine next year to form Chipeta Elementary; leaving the school vacant. District spokesman Jeff Kirtland says that moving in the charter school would be the best way to use resources it already has.

Independence Academy has about 150 students from kindergarten all the way to 12th grade. The school will officially move in on July 15th.
