Tuesday is the last day to turn in ballots for several mail-in elections happening here on the Western Slope.

Residents of Fruita have until 7pm Tuesday night to turn their ballots into the Fruita Civic Center. They will be voting for several city leaders, including a new mayor and three city council members. They will also be voting a controversial measure to increase the city sales tax one cent to help fund a new Fruita Rec Center.

Palisade residents have choices to make as well. They will be choosing a new town mayor, and three new board of trustees members. They will also decide whether or not to approve a $2 a room per night occupation tax on hotel rooms, motel rooms, and other lodging in their town. Residents have until 7pm Tuesday night to turn in their ballots to the town administrative offices.

Montrose is holding elections as well. Residents will choose three new city council members. If you haven't mailed in your ballot yet, you can turn it in at City Hall until 7pm Tuesday.
