A check cashed for more than $1,000 has Grand Junction police investigating.

Police say that someone stole a business bank check from the New Dragon Wall Restaurant and forged the owner’s name. Police say the check was made out to an individual but they are not releasing that name. They say the check may have been stolen back in March or February, and if arrested that person may face charges of theft and forgery.

Well at least the police are something about this fraud case, I tried to have them help me with a person here in Grand Junction that advertises as a disc jockey and wedding planner and all he does is takes peoples mony and does not deliver. The Grand Junction police told me to take it to small claims court, they can't help. So this person can keep on ripping people off and not worry about the police doing anything to him.
