Ordway, CO (AP) _ At least three people have died in wildfires that have scorched about 1,000 acres in Southeastern Colorado.
Authorities say two people have died in a wildfire that burned into the town limits of a southeast Colorado town. All of Ordway's residents were told to leave because of the wildfire, which is being fanned by winds blowing up to 50 miles an hour.
A second fire is also burning in Colorado near Fort Carson. A small plane being used to fight the blaze has crashed. The pilot of the plane was killed.
