1 Child Remains Hospitalized 3 Months After Fatal Blaze

Colorado Springs, Colo. (AP) One of four children who survived a fire allegedly set ba mother accused of trying to kill her five children remains hospitalized nearly three months after the blaze.

Maria Darlene Joseph, 25, appeared in court Monday for a preliminary hearing as a judge tries to determine if there's enough evidence to go to trial.

Sixteen-month-old Ashya Joseph died in the Jan. 28 fire. During the hearing, a detective said Joseph's 9-year-old child was recently released from Shriners Children Hospital in Texas and is still undergoing therapy. A 3-year-old remains hospitalized in Denver. The two other children are in foster care.

Joseph, who also goes by the name Maria Gardner, faces 19 charges including one count of first-degree murder and four counts of attempted first-degree murder. She was being held without bond.
