Fire in Mack Caused by Train

Smoke from a fire shut down highway 6 and 50 in Mack yesterday.

A Union Pacific train was grinding the track near the highway when sparks flew into a nearby field
.
The fire started around 1 pm and was fully contained shortly afterward.

A half mile stretch of six and 50 was shut down while firefighters from Union Pacific and Lower Valley Fire contained the blaze.

The field was directly behind the Country Jam ranch.
