Neighbors: Woman Killed was Mother of Five, Caring, Loving

The Grand Junction Police Department is investigating the death of a 49 year old woman. The woman's neighbors tell 11 News she was a mother of five that was caring and loving.

Police won't release any details about how the woman died but say a silver Dodge pickup truck was involved. Neighbors say the truck in question belonged to the victim and they believe she may have been working on it and it may have rolled over her.

At about 5:30 a.m. police were called out to 397 Ridge Circle Drive where they found the woman injured. She was later pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation into the woman's death is ongoing. 11 News is not releasing the victim's identity until the coroners office releases its report.

Neighbors say the woman is an immigrant from Europe who had received her green card a while back, and that she loved living in Colorado.
