Grand Junction Police are searching for a dark green Chevy with front end damage after an overnight hit and run driver crashed into the garage of a home under construction on Prairie Wind Drive in Grand Junction.
The crash happened around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.
Officers on scene told us the crash broke a supporting beam and punched a two– foot– deep hole in the garage that extends from the roof to the floor. The damage is estimated at several thousand dollars.
Officials from the Grand Junction Police Department say pieces of the suspect's car have been found along with other evidence.
