The Abby and Jennifer Recovery Foundations is hosting a fundraiser and reunion for relatives of people who have gone missing.
The foundation is named for Abby and Jennifer Blagg, and was organized after they went missing from their Grand Junction home in 2001.
34-year-old Jennifer's body was found in a Mesa County landfill that summer while six-year-old Abby was never found. A jury convicted Michael Blagg, husband and father, in 2004 for Jennifer's murder. Blagg was sentenced to life in prison.
Since then the foundation has helped several families in the Grand Valley who have had relatives disapear including the Birgfelds,' Thorntons' and Atchleys.'
Paige Birgfeld disappeared last June. Nate Thornton drowned six years ago in a canal in Montrose. Atchley drowned in a canal in Grand Junction last year.
