A mother accused of giving birth to her newborn baby and then putting it in a bag and shoving it in a closet is back in Grand Junction.
Morgan Hite, 22, is charged with first degree murder.
Hite was extradited from Alaska, and is now being held in Mesa County Jail.
Grand Junction Police believe Hite secretly delivered a baby boy in a neighbor's bathtub and then put him in a plastic tote in a closet at her family's home.
According to an arrest affidavit, Hite’s father and stepmother discovered the baby’s body, in April, after it had been in the closet for more than two months.
