The number of evictions in Mesa County is on the rise and for many Grand Valley residents, struggling to make rent it's an increasing concern. From the years 2000–2002 the number of people kicked out of their homes was steadily on the rise. in 2003 the number of evictions were lower, with only 197 evictions.
Last year, Mesa County had the highest number of evictions in the past five years, with 266 people being evicted from their rented properties.
