The Grand Junction Lions Club donated more than $100,000 to eight community projects Monday, and the Toddler Pool at Lincoln Park is receiving the biggest check of all the organizations involved. $40,000 will go to renovate the Toddler Pool. The pool had almost 110,000 visits last year.
Also, Hospice and Palliative Care received a little more than $22,000 for remodeling the historic Miller House. In addition, Mesa State College, Grand Mesa Little League, Partners Youth Conservation Corps, Homeward Bound, Go–El, and the Grand Junction Symphony all received grant money to help fund various projects.
Money for these grants will be generated by raffle ticket sales for this years 76th Annual Lions Club Carnival on February 19th.
Tickets go on sale at noon Tuesday.
