A semi carrying hay lost part of its load around 6 p.m. Saturday night on Interstate 70 just west of De Beque at mile marker 57. The Colorado State Patrol responded to the spill, about 50 bails of hay blocked the roadway. According to troopers, some cars did run into the hay bails but no major damage was reported. The spill slowed traffic to one lane during the clean–up. Authorities are investigating what caused the truck to spill its load.
