People flying in and out of Grand Junction's Walker Field Airport will have more options after Skywest announced Wednesday a new flight schedule. Starting March 2nd, Skywest Airlines will add an additional roundtrip flight to Salt Lake City in and out of Walker Field.
The new flight will mean there will be seven Skywest flights leaving Grand Junction for the Utah state capitol. Walker Field continues to expand, with the number of passengers flying in and out of Grand Junction increasing by 13% percent in 2004.
Walker Field Spokesman Charles Novinskie said with more flights being added in Salt Lake City, passengers will have a wider variety of destinations and flight times.
