An alleged shooting on the Fifth Street Bridge Tuesday night has police looking for answers. The incident was reported shortly after 9:00 p.m. by four people who say they were crossing the bridge when they were fired upon. Grand Junction Police contacted three of the four purported victims and were led to a spot where nine shell casings were found. One of the alleged victims was taken into custody due to a prior warran.
The case has been handed over to the Mesa County Sheriff's Department and the investigation is in the very early stages.
