Grand Valley Police On Lookout For Stabbing Suspect

A 20-year–old man is recovering from a stab wound he received Sunday outside a friend's house in Grand Junction. Police are looking for a suspect who stabbed him. The incident happened around 2:00 AM.

The victim, Paul Bailey, reportedly left a friend's house on the 1700 block of Grand Avenue and was approached by a man he did not know. Bailey and the assailant got into an argument, which turned into a shoving match.

Bailey was then stabbed in the chest before the other man disappeared on foot. Friends took the victim to Saint Mary's Hospital where a nurse reported the crime to police.

The suspect is described as a white male in his twenties, approximately 6 feet tall, with blonde hair.

Monday, Bailey was in good condition at Saint Mary's.
