More Students Applying At Mesa State Than Ever Before

The number of student's applying at Mesa State College is on the rise with a 20% increase over last year. Tuesday, the college admissions office had received more than 2,000 applications. Last year at this time the school had only received around 1,800 and more applications are coming in everyday.

Director of Admissions Tyre Bush says the increase in the applications will not raise the academic standards to get into the college. She chalks this year's success up to the changes the college has been making.

Mesa State is not done accepting applications and for the month of March the school is waiving the enrollment fee for everyone who applies on-line.
