Delta County school board members have chosen the man they want to be District 50–J's new superintendent. Although it's not yet official, Interim Superintendent Mike McMillan has been offered the job.
Formal negotiations have not yet been completed,
but McMillan hopes there will be an official decision by Thursday evening's board meeting.
McMillan was born and raised in Delta County and attended Paonia Elementary School. He began his work with the district 33 years ago as a teacher and worked his way into administration.
McMillan has been the interim superintendent since September.
