School board members in Delta's District 50–J have officially named their new superintendent. Thurwsday night, board members decided to offer the top position to Interim Superintendent Mike McMillan by a vote of 3-2.
McMillan was born and raised in Delta County and attended Paonia Elementary School. McMillan started working for the district 33 years ago as a teacher and worked his way up through the ranks.
Starting this July the new superintendent will make $107,000 a year.
