The three-year–old girl injured in a four–wheeling accident sunday is doing better Tuesday, but her mother is now in trouble with the law. According to the Colorado State Patrol Isabella Lawrence, 3, has been released from the Intensive Care Unit at Saint Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction.
She has reportedly regained consciousness, although the hospital is not releasing any information about her condition. Charges are pending against the child's mother, Gabrael Lawrence. Trooper Scott Simons expects charges to be filed within the next few days.
Lawrence will likely be charged with felony child abuse, vehicular assault, and driving under the influenced, as well as charges for having an unrestrained child in the car.
Lawrence was not arrested at the scene because she needed medical care, but she has now been released from the hospital. The state patrol does plan to issue a warrant for her arrest.
