Authorities have released the identity of a suspect in a car chase that reached speeds of 100 miles-per-hour Monday evening. Abraham Ybarra, 23, led the Colorado State Patrol on a high speed chase that ended in a car crash.
The incident happened around 5:00 P.M. when state trooper attempted to stop Ybarra on the I–70 Business Loop for running a red light. The driver then ran two more red lights before he broadsided another car at the intersection of 30 Road and E ½ Road.
The chase didn't end there as ybarra got out of his truck and attempted to run. An off–duty firefighter who lived nearby heard the accident, and chased down the suspect.
Ybarra will be charged with vehicular alluding, driving under the influence of drugs, and 12 other charges.
No one was injured in the ordeal…
