Jury selection for a murder that happened almost 13 years ago in the Grand Valley began Monday. Forty-seven year old Glenn Jackson Torres is being charged with first degree murder and first degree sexual assault in the murder of 19-year-old Paula Moore in 1992.
Moore's body was found stuffed in the trunk of her abandoned car in the North Avenue Wal-Mart parking lot. Officials ruled strangulation as the cause of death. Torres was linked to the crime with DNA evidence.
The trial is expected to start Wednesday and will last approximately four weeks. If convicted Torres will face life in prison without the possibility of parole.
