State Representative Josh Penry, (R) Grand Junction, is taking himself out of the race for a prestigious position at Mesa State College. Penry was selected as a finalist for the Director of Development position at the college.
Penry said Monday, although the story his job prospect played out in the media, most state legislators have other jobs, but after much thought. He decided it would be difficult to completely dedicate himself to both.
There are three others being considered for the job that pays anywhere from $75-85,000 a year.
