The Mesa County Commissioners approved the renewal of Country Jam's liquor license at Monday's meeting, however they want stricter restrictions on the way people purchase and receive adult wristbands. Country Jam officials say this year they'll distribute one wristband per person to help curb the underage drinking problem.
Officials say they will also beef up security by hiring a private firm. They will also post signs to show they will not tolerate underage drinking. In 2003 157 cases of underage drinking were reported.
This year's event will be held from June 23-26 near Mack.
