The City of Grand Junction's spring clean–up is now officially underway. If you have yard waste or debris that could normally be dumped at the Mesa County Landfill you can place them in front of your yard in the street for free pick–up.
The service started Monday for city residents who live north of North Avenue. On Monday, May 9th, crews will make their way to the areas south of North Avenue, including Orchard Mesa and the Redlands.
Only items that are accepted at the landfill can be placed on the street for pick up. In order to keep useable items out of the landfill, residents are urged to consider donating used items in good condition to one of several local charities who can benefit from reselling those items. For a list, call 244-1500, ext. 661.
This service does not extend to commercial properties.
