A woman police say shot a Grand Valley man during a domestic dispute on Monday night was arrested Thursday and charged with two felony counts. Teri Lynn Woodward, who was taken away from the scene of the shooting by police after it happened, faces one count of domestic violence assault in the second degree,
and one count of domestic violence felony menacing.
The charges are in connection with the shooting of 44-year-old Steven Coates. The shooting happened in a home on Gerken Road in Fruitvale. Coates was hospitalized at St. Mary's Hospital with a gun shot wound to his right forearm.
Police were still gathering information and their may be other arrests connected to this incident.
Woodward is being held in the Mesa County Jail without bond until she appears in front of a judge Friday.
