Downtown Art Hop Springs Into Second Year Showcasing Area Artists

The First Friday Art Hop in downtown Grand Junction celebrates its first anniversary, Friday. Main Street was full of people enjoying the one year anniversary of the event. It was a year ago this week that the event was first held. It's a chance for downtown businesses to stay open a little later, host an artist,
and have a good time.

The public can see the artists making their works in the different businesses. Local musicians were also on hand to spice things up. With a year under their belts, event organizers have helped make this into one of the many reasons the quality of life is so good in the Grand Valley.

The First Friday Art Hop got its name because it is held the first friday of every month. Artists and the community can also leave the downtown area and head to the Grand Junction Art Center where artists show their works.

11 News Colorado is a proud sponsor of this event.
