Three teenagers are being questioned in connection with a recent string of vandalisms in Grand Junction. For the past several months, there have been numerous car and home windows broken in Mesa County. At around midnight Monday night in the area of 13th Street and Cedar Avenue, police responded to a report of two teens shooting a wrist rocket sling shot at street signs and lights.
Than a short time later, they received a tip and license plate number of three young people buying sling shot ammunition.
Officials were able to identify one of the teens and contacted his parents.
From there two, other teens were identified. The two 17-year-olds, along with their parents, and the 18-year-old, came to the Grand Junction Police Department for questioning.
Police are working to see if they are linked to the series of vandalisms across the valley. No arrests had been made by Tuesday night.
