C.U. Chancellor Making Western Slope Information Gathering Tour

Grand Junction-The Interim Chancellor for the University of Colorado listened to what Western Slope residents had to say about the future of higher education in the state, Tuesday night. At a reception in Grand Junction, Phillip DiStefano met with local educators from Mesa State College and Mesa County School District 51, along with parents, students and alumni.

The event at the Doubletree Hotel was part of his Western Colorado tour, which includes stops in Montrose, Durango, and Steamboat Springs.

DiStefano said he wanted to hear from residents how the university can better serve the needs of the Western Slope. He was named Interim Chancellor for C.U.–Boulder in January.
