War veterans and civilians alike will converge on the Western Slope town of Rifle this week to catch a small glimpse of a national monument. The Moving Wall, a half-sized replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C., will be on display in Rifle beginning Saturday morning.
The six–foot tall monument contains the names of the more than 58,000 service men and women who gave their lives during the Vietnam Conflict. The moving wall has been touring the country for nearly 20 years.
It will be on display behind Wamsley Elementary School at 225 East 30th Street in Rifle through next Saturday, June 25th.
