Mesa County Pair Arrested In Counterfeiting Sting

A Mesa County pair suspected of making and selling fake hundred dollar bills is behind bars. 39-year-old Laura Ann Koski of Clifton and 34-year-old Jesus Antonio Molina–Galindo of Grand Junction were arrested and are facing charges of 1st Degree Forgery, Possession of a Forgery Device, and Racketeering. According to a report from the Mesa County Sheriff's Department the two were caught as part of an undercover operation conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Western Colorado Drug Task Force in cooperation with the Mesa County Sheriff's Office, the Grand Junction Police Department, and the U.S. Secret Service. The agencies recovered 160 counterfeit one hundred dollar bills during three controlled buys over a three-week period. Koski and Molina–Galindo are being held in the Mesa County jail on $150,000 bond each. Authorities expect to make more arrests related to this case.
