A memorial service is planned for the Montrose marine who was killed in Iraq this week. A service for Lance Corporal Chad Maynard will be held at the Montrose High School on Monday at 6 P.M.. The 19-year-old marine was killed Wednesday when his vehicle hit a homemade bomb while conducting combat operations near Ar Ramadi, Iraq. Maynard a 2003 graduate of Montrose High School was deployed on a nine–month tour and was expected to come back home in October.
