Grand Mesa-'Ride the Rockies' participants rode across the Grand Mesa on Monday before ending the day in Delta. Many were recouping from the 91 mile ride over the mesa, but not all the cyclist peddled their way to the top, instead they choose a different type of transportation.
The 'Ride the Rockies, staff was busy, not motivating riders, but loading them onto buses. At around noon more than 200 riders called it quits, and prefered taking a shuttle to the top of the mesa. There they could be unloaded, and coast to the bottom of the world's largest flattop mountain.
The cyclists will have a break Tuesday. The ride from Delta to Montrose is only 34 miles…
