Grand Junction-An important World War II-era plane is making a stop in Grand Junction this week. “Fuddy Duddy,” a reassembly of a famous World War II B–17 bomber, is part of the B–17 Allied Victory Tour.
Tuesday and Wednesday, people from throughout the Grand Valley have an opportunity to come out to Walker Field Airport to see and touch a piece of history. The B-17, also called the "Flying Fortress," was known for its long–range capabilities, superb defensive capacity, and especially for its durability.
Ground tours are available from 2:00–5:00 p.m through Wednesday. Tickets are $6 for adults, and no charge for World War II veterans and children under 8.
