Grand Junction-After receiving more than 60 resumes, Mesa County Commissioners selected a new county administrator, Tuesday, and the decision was easy. Jon Peacock, who was serving as acting county administrator since March of this year was offered the position and accepted it.
The job entails bringing county departments together with the priorities of the commissioners, and with much on the table for county commissioners, peacock says he is relieved it's over and can now concentrate on serving the board and the county.
Commissioner Tilman Bishop said there will be no transition time, because peacock is already familiar with, not just the position but the mindset, of the commissioners..
