Police Arrest Vandal They Say Shot Out Windows

Grand Junction-The Grand Junction Police Department has made a key arrest in connection with a recent vandalism spree. Ryan Morgan Burns, 17, was taken into custody Tuesday night and booked into the Division of Youth Services.

Police had been trying to find out who was shooting out windows with a slingshot for several months. Now they think they have their suspect.

over the past three months, investigators received reports of more than 167 cases of shattered car and business windows, causing more than $60,000 in damages.

Officials believe Burns is connected to all of these cases, but an investigation continues, and more arrests could be made.

Burns faces charges for criminal mischief, a Class 3 felony.
