Ouray (AP) The body of the final plane crash victim killed when a Cessna 210 crashed in Ouray County is now off the mountain where the California man and three family members died. A Gunnison mountain rescue cadaver dog located the snow–covered remains of Richard "Ricky" Ford on Sunday.
Crews had recovered the bodies of his four–year–old son,
Matthew, and his parents, Robert Ford, 59, and Patricia Ford, 57, last month, following several attempts.
The family was from the Chino, California area. The plane departed California on May 11th en route to Elbert, where the family had a vacation home. The Cessna crashed on Whitehouse Mountain, about 150 miles away. The cause of the crash is unknown.
Authorities hope to retrieve the plane's wreckage at the end of next month. The National Transportation Safety Board will then start looking for the cause of the crash.
