Imperiled Ducks Saved By Courageous City Worker

A City of Grand Junction utility worker came to the rescue of some young ducklings who were trapped in a storm drain, Wednesday. It happened just off North Avenue and Patterson Road on 28 Road.

The lucky ducks can thank two women who spotted the mother duck, who they saw looking down the grate at her trapped ducklings.

The women enlisted the help of Tom McGee, a utility locater for the City of Grand Junction..

And yes, in the end the mother was happy to be reunited and have all of her ducks in a row.
