Gas pumps are squeezing more out of your wallet. Pump prices have surged an average of eight cents a gallon over the past two weeks. The average retail price for all three grades is now $2.24.9, just eight cents shy of the all–time high.
AAA reports Grand Junction's current rate for regular unleaded is $2.26.9 a gallon. The jump reverses a gradual slide in prices that had been taking place since April.
Tuesday, Treasury Secretary John Snow said there's not much the government can do to offer relief from record high oil prices.
