The electricity is back on for thousands of residents in the Fruitvale and Clifton areas who were without it for a short time Sunday. An operator with Xcel Energy tells 11 news 45–hundred customers were affected when a capacitor bank blew up near the intersection of F Road and Starlight Drive. The power outage lasted for about 40 minutes. Traffic signals were out at several busy intersections and the Colorado State Patrol and Grand Junction Police were called in to help direct traffic.
