Colorado troops serving overseas in Iraq will start receiving even more care packages now that two local non-profit organizations are teaming together.
On average, Homefront Heroes sends care packages to about 12 to 20 troops. Another organization in Colorado, called Operation Interdependence, sends packages to about 50 troops. By joining forces the two will be able to fulfill the needs of more Colorado service men and women overseas.
Operation Interdependence was founded a little less than two years ago by a former Marine who knows the importance of receiving packages.
