Gulf Coast States Brace For Hurricane Dennis

Hurricane Dennis is picking up speed as it heads towards the southern United States. The storm has been upgraded to a category three hurricane with winds up to 125–miles–per–hour and could be a category four storm before making landfall Sunday. Authorities along the gulf coast are urging more than a million people to head inland as Hurricane Dennis creeps closer. Dennis delivered only a glancing blow to Key West, but still dumped several inches of rain on the island. So far the hurricane has claimed 20 lives in the Carribean. Dennis is expected to make landfall Sunday afternoon and could hit anywhere from Florida's panhandle to the coast of Mississippi.
