Volunteers with the American Red Cross are on duty at the disaster response call center in Denver. Agents field calls to the national number – from people affected by the hurricane or those concerned about others who live in areas where the storm will hit. The call center was activated last year to respond to the destructive hurricane season. The American Red Cross call center number is 1–866–GET-INFO.
