The Mason fire currently burning in the southern part of Colorado has led to the evacuation of more homes Sunday. The fire has now grown to eight thousand acres thanks to temperatures reaching into the 90s and strong winds. It's now threatening 750 homes in the Beulah Valley officials evacuated 150 homes Saturday. According to the Rocky Mountain Incident Management team some five thousand people are now involved in the evacuation. More than 330 firefighters are working to contain the fire located two miles southwest of Wetmore in Custer and Pueblo counties. Four helicopters along five single engine air tankers and 27 engines are also attacking the fire. As of Sunday morning the fire was only five percent contained.
