Grand Junction-One of the last locally owned banks in the Grand Valley is celebrated the opening of its newest location Friday, while another is expanding with a new branch scheduled to be ready for the public next spring.
Grand Valley National Bank has been serving residents here for more than 20 years and now its customers have the added convenience of a bank branch on 25 Road. It's one of five locations in the Grand Valley and eastern Utah, and so far customers have nothing but positive things to say about the brand new building.
In addition to the new branch on 25 Road, Grand Valley National Bank also has locations on 7th Street in Grand Junction, Fruita, Collbran, Heber City, Utah, and a 6th location will soon be built in Vernal, Utah.
Vectra bank is building a second branch in Grand Junction. They have opened a temporary location in Frontier Plaza at 2460 F Road while their new building is being constructed. Bank officials say they are excited about the Grand Junction market and plan to add new staff.
The bank plans to open its new branch in the spring of 2006 near the corner of 24 Road and F Road in Grand Junction.
