Two Mesa County American Red Cross volunteers headed to San Antonio, Texas Saturday in preperation for the destruction Hurricane Emily might cause. Randy Bogart and his wife Lois will help the Red Cross get set up for mass feeding, mobile feeding, and prepare emergency vehicles to go out to disaster sites. The Bogarts have been volunteers with the American Red Cross for years, but Randy says this mission is a little different since the organization normally doesn't deploy volunteers until after a disaster strikes. On Saturday Hurricane Emily was classified as a category 4 storm with 155 miles per hour sustained winds. It's expected to cause major flooding in parts of Texas the early part of next week.
