Be ready to stop when you see signs posted for a sobriety checkpoint this weekend in Mesa County. The Mesa County Sheriff's Office is teaming up with the Fruita Police Department, the Colorado State Patrol, and the Debeque Marshal's Office, to crack down on drunk drivers.
This Saturday and Sunday from 9 p.m. until 3 a.m, checkpoints will be set up at various undisclosed locations. Officials want to remind people if you go out and decide to drink to designate a sober driver and make sure your friends don't drink and drive.
