Authorities Identify Victim In Fatal Car Crash

One day after authorities find a dead woman inside a wrecked vehicle south of the Interstate 70, they release her identity. The Colorado State Patrol has identified the driver of the Audi as 37–year–old Gesa Brigitte Marion Holzbach, a german native who had been living in the Grand Valley. Investigators believe Holzbach died from injuries sustained when her car veered off then crashed just south the interstate west of the Clifton interchange. Authorities are still trying to figure out exactly when the crash happened, since the car was spotted by a passing motorist long after the crash occurred. The woman was reportedly not wearing a seat belt. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
