Unofficial results for the recall election in Collbran are in. Residents in the Town of Collbran voted to recall Board Member Barry Gregory. Ballots were counted Tuesday night and the results show that out of 111 ballots cast, 76 voted "yes" to recall gregory, and 34 voted "no."
The recall means that Eugene Stricklan will now take over the position of trustee.
The election comes on the heels of a massive vacancy in the town's administration. Four of the five board members resigned, which left just one seat for voters to decide on. Now that the votes are in Collbran Mayor John Blady says the town can now look to the future.
Ballots will be officially counted Wednesday and official results will be announced Thursday morning.
